Texas Motion Picture Alliance Shows their Love for Houston’s Page Parkes

The Texas Motion Picture Alliance, (TXMPA) held a Valentine’s Day Gala and Fundraiser Sunday evening, February 14th, at The Bell Tower on 34th Street and Houston’s acting and modeling talent mogul Page Parkes was the evening’s honoree.

Page Parkes, Corporate Sponsor, served as the Honorary Chair of the evening and encouraged others in attendance to continue to support the volunteer efforts of the organization for urging Texas elected officials and other leaders to keep the incentives competitive with other states and attract more work to the industry in Texas.

The Texas Motion Picture Alliance (TXMPA) serves the film, video, interactive, and digital media production industry. TXMPA is the industry advocate before legislative, regulatory and judicial bodies, representing a robust community of professionals seeking economic and creative incentives for media work in Texas.

In attendance were:

Susan Fowler, TXMPA Vice President and Southeast Regional Rep, welcomed the audience of about fifty – which included Page Parkes; Nicole O’Brian, Miss Texas USA 2003; Rick Ferguson, Executive Director , and Alfred Cervantes, Deputy Director both of the Houston Film Commission; Sharon Adams, Director, Corporate Affairs, Convention and Entertainment Division, City of Houston; Mary Lampe, Executive Director, SWAMP; John and Tina Blum Cohen; Jake Messinger; Amy Mitchell; Tom and Karen Hale; Karen Aptekar, Director; and Eleese Lester of Friday Night Lights.
